I remember feeling the weight of walking beside someone
when I was very young.
Even now, I love being alone.
Solitude is where creation comes to me.
I absorb the time I spend with others,
store it somewhere,
and forget it —
until it returns as a shape, or a word.
It always happens when I am alone.
Still, loneliness lingers.
I love my family.
They are life itself —
precious, like comrades, a strong and steady team.
And yet, they seem to exist in another dimension.
“You can walk on your own, right?”
Since hearing that, perhaps I believed
I was meant to walk alone.
To be alone may be like letting time stand free.
Maybe independence rests on knowing
we are connected in love.
And that is why we long to walk beside someone.
